Pratt's Answering Service has openings for Customer Service Professionals (CSP). Our CSP’s work from home taking inbound calls for top Fortune 500 companies. You will not be selling goods or referring other people to earn your pay. Some examples of the types of calls you could be taking would be making resort reservations, booking cruises, taking dining reservations, and answering tax questions.
You will need a desktop computer, a laptop can be used but will need to be directly wired to a modem while taking calls, a USB headset with microphone and a high-speed internet connection. Depending on the client you choose to work with you may also need a landline phone, and a telephone headset.
A background check, drug test and a client specific training course will be required for these positions. The training courses are offered online and will teach you how to use the systems that you will be using in order to be a proficient customer service rep. There will be several training times available that you will be able to pick from to better fit your schedule.
There is a cost for the background check and the training course that will initially be your responsibility to cover. The background check is $9.95 and the training courses average between $4.99 and $249.00, with most of them being between $9.99 and $24.99. Once you have completed your certification course and have taken calls for 60 hours these initial costs are refunded to you.
The positions being offered will require you to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, but you pick and choose those hours and you can adjust your hours daily or weekly depending on what you have scheduled. You will be paid for the hours that you work so if you choose to work more than 15 hours per week that is up to you.
Pay starts out between $8.00 and $11.50 per hour and with incentives can go as high as $16.00 per hour. The pay rate and incentives are based on the client that you choose to take calls for. You are guaranteed an hourly rate but each client has incentives built in for their top performing customer service providers.
The most successful customer service providers are self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, have at least basic computer skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, have the ability to multi-task and have excellent customer service skills. You must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a background check and drug test.
